Craziness continues as our life becomes increasingly busy in the next few months. Last weekend we enjoyed Jon and Justine's wedding with lots of friends, it was great to catch up with everyone. We also enjoyed a little mini-vacation as we went up Friday night, stayed in a hotel, went swimming, watched a movie and left all of our packing and stresses at home.
This coming weekend I am on the upcoming girls TEC weekend. I am giving the Young Christian as Disciple talk. This is a major deal for me as I kind of HATE speaking in front of people, especially about myself. We shall see how I do, pray for me please. I am looking forward to a retreat, for a chance to refocus my life on Christ and to get in some much-needed prayer time. In addition, it is always so beautiful to see young lives transformed by Christ on weekends like these. I only pray that they never lose that zeal for Christ and as they enter their college years, they always hold their faith as the top priority.
After that, lots of baby-sitting, RCIA meetings, and lots of packing fill our time as we get ready for our trip to ROME! We are going with the SRBCNC on a pilgrimage to Rome and Assissi. We will be traveling over IWU's spring break and enjoying 10 days of vacation! Since Jeremy has never been out of the country, we are really excited about the travel! We are gone March 13-22. Since our honeymoon was small and simple, we are looking forward to a vacation where we can follow the footsteps of many holy men and women through our pilgrimage. While it will be a busy and event filled trip, it is a much-needed vacation and a wonderful opportunity for us!
When we get back, March 25 (Wed.) is Jeremy's 23rd Birthday and since we won Prairie Thunder tickets, we are taking Jeremy's parents (its his dad's birthday also) to the game that night.
Finally, and last but certainly not least, we close on our new house Friday, March 27. So that week will be MAJOR packing and preparation, since the 10 days prior, we are out of the country. We plan on painting a few of the major rooms first, with other rooms to be painted later. First and foremost, though, is the GYPSY GOLD living room!!! That color will be gone pronto. Once that is gone and the master bedroom is painted, we will move all of our stuff in and begin unpacking. I HATE TO PACK! I cannot stand to move, I love organization and cannot bear the thought of all of my things being jumbled in boxes and placed in rooms that they do not belong. As we await the move, my head is constantly filled with organization thoughts, how to pack most efficiently, how to organize the house once we're there, where furniture, dishes, pots, appliances, etc... will go. Basically, if I look like I'm not listening, I'm probably just rearranging furniture in my head. So bear with me as my usually ordered life takes on chaos in the upcoming months.
Finally, after the move and our upcoming furniture and applicance purchases (since we get the benefits of that new stimulus package on this year's tax return :-), we will be going to California to be a part of David and Stephanie's wedding. Jeremy is Best Man, so a trip to California will end our chaos. Once June 15th hits, we are relaxing and doing everything possible to live a low-stress, highly organized :-) life.
