Anthony - 3 Months Old

The kids are sleeping and I finally have a second to sit down and write this!  Here's what little man's been up to for the last month!

Anna couldn't handle it that I was taking pictures of just Anthony.  So here's one with her too!

Anthony's getting so big!  His big news is that he is now rolling over.  He can roll back to front.  He's done it many times now, although no one has actually seen him do it yet.  He does it in his crib.  He does it when I'm cooking.  He's just a few steps away but he manages to do roll when I'm not looking. Apparently he's shy :-)

He's started cooing and babbling a lot more lately too.  It's adorable and he loves to chat with Anna.

His skin has looked a ton better this month and although he has spots that flare up randomly, overall he is looking very good.  The dematologist was extremely impressed with his progress.  So we're still sticking to our strict lotion/cream/steroid regimen to keep him looking good.  We'll probably have him allergy tested in a few months.

We've switched his eating back to the regular formula instead of the sensitive.  He's doing well with that.  He's still on the Zan.tac for his reflux, but other than that, he's been eating like a champ!  He eats anywhere from 24-28 oz a day.  Usually about seven 4 oz bottles.  He's much more on an eating schedule now which is nice!

He's back to sleeping really well.  We'd gotten to that point before his hospital stay, but that stay made all of our routine fly out the window!  He's going to bed around 7:15 and sleeps until around 3-4.  He quickly drinks a bottle and goes right back to sleep until 6:30-7.  He no longer wanted to be swaddled, he was making a game of getting out of it every night, it didn't matter what kind of blanket, he could get out of it.  So now he's just in his sleep sack.  We were having trouble with him scratching himself though, which could lead to another staph infection.  We tried mittens, but he figured out how to get those off.  So finally I just bought some 12M long sleeve onesies, they're super huge on him, but the arms are long enough that I just sewed them shut on the ends.  Now he CAN'T get his hands out, no matter how hard he tries :-).

He's napping more regularly too.  He takes an hour nap sometime between 8:30 and 9.  Then he goes down again around noon and sleeps until 3 or 4.  Then he takes a 15 minute catnap around 5:30.  And down for bed at 7:15!  When it's naptime, he lets you know, he does NOT like to miss/delay a nap!  He's consistently napping in his bed now, I learned with Anna not to let them get used to napping in the swing for too long!  He naps so much better up in his dark, quiet room!

He's still in 6M clothing and hopefully will be for a little while longer.  But he's SO long, I don't know...  He's really stretched out this month and is all of the sudden long and skinny!  His rolls are quickly disappearing and he's just tall!

He loves his play gym and his swing.  He also likes the Bumbo.  He loves to be worn and he's such a smiley happy guy all the time!  Such a difference from the grumpy, itchy, in-pain baby before we got his eczema and reflux under control!  He's so much fun to be around and he just makes us so happy!  Anna has started calling him "Brudder" instead of "Abi" or "Nani".  It's adorable and make me melt every time!

Mommy, Daddy and Anna love you so much!

Oh ... what a CUTIE!!! So great to know what he's up to (and see Anna too!). I'm glad his skin is doing so much better! Isn't that the funniest thing about them rolling over at first ... they NEVER let you see them do it! :-)
