Anthony is 3 months old as of yesterday! I'll get around to writing a 3 month post sometime soon, but his big news is that he rolled over for the first time! He's done it before, but always with a little help. Last night, I woke up at like 2 am because I heard him moving around and I looked at the monitor and realized he was on his belly. I KNOW we put him down on his back, so I was surprised! I went in and rolled him back over and he went back to sleep.
We had a very fun 4th of July! We went to a parade where Jeremy's grandpa lives, we went and swam in his pool, we had a cookout with Jeremy's family, we watched fireworks with my family! The kids were great and loved it. And both kids LOVED fireworks. Anthony stared at each and every one and Anna kept pointing and shouting "More, More".
Staying cool. And loving the pool!
It's interesting to me to compare the kids and their developmental milestones. I know all kids are different and develop at different stages, so I find it incredibly fascinating to see what interests different kids at different times. For instance, at 3 months old, Anna had no interest in rolling over, but she wanted to stand ALL.THE.TIME. She had incredible leg muscles and loved to use them. Anthony, on the other hand rolls and would so much rather play on the floor on his back. He grabs things and focuses better than she did. But he has NO interest in standing. His legs are like jello. Anna still likes to go, go, go all the time, and I'm willing to bet Anthony will be more laid back and content just watching from the sidelines! I love seeing their little personalities come out!
Anthony got "served" this week. The lawyer has to actually hand him the paper. It's silly, but a fun picture moment :-). So in about 2 months we should have a court date to finalize his adoption! Hooray!
This heat is brutal! I know, I know, everyone's in the same boat, but wow! I do not handle it well when I am cooped up for hours/days on end. And neither does Anna. But it's too hot to go outside, there aren't many free inside places, and frankly, it's too hot to load the kids in the car, drive somewhere, unload them, walk into wherever we're going, and tehn do it all over again to go home, in a car that's about 150 bazillion degrees. I'm a sissy about the heat! So Anna and I are trying not to drive each other crazy, we're like caged animals! I'm ready for a reprieve and Anna's ready to play at the park.
We're just now sending out Anthony's birth announcements. We've had them for a while, but never got around to sending them out... Better late than never, right?
