1.5 miles!

Today was a first for me, I jogged a total of a mile and a half!  I have never been able to do that before!  I have been working up to it and while it was not consecutive (I did half mile intervals with a short walking period between), I still feel like I accomplished a major task in doing it!  For once in my life, my asthma isn't wreaking havoc on me.  I think it's the fact that I built up to it instead of jumping right in (like I used to do when I played basketball, my asthma hated me)!

Despite my persistent exercise and diligent eating habits, I haven't really lost any weight since the first week when I lost almost ten pounds.  However, I have noticed weight shifting, my pants and shirts are fitting differently and I like to think that the lack of weight loss is an increase in muscle (at least that's what I'm telling myself :-)) So hopefully here soon I'll start seeing some weight loss...  It's much easier to stay motivated when you can see progress and that your hard work is actually paying off...

So basically I am just happy that I've kept up my motivation and stuck with it, I have been able to exercise every day in the month of October and now it is just a part of my daily routine.  I used to use the excuse of not enough time and I'm realizing that it was a lame excuse...  Today I exercised, worked (only half day), took an hour nap, went to the mall for a few minutes, and got my jogging in... and its only 4:00...  And I still have time to get some cleaning done before dinner and RCIA tonight!  Not to mention, when I exercise hard, I eat a lot healthier so as not to undo all of my hard work!
