Happy Father's Day to my babies' wonderful daddy!
He is a better father than these kids could have ever asked for. We are so blessed to call him daddy. Thank you Jeremy for all that you do for your family and for being the best daddy in the whole world.
I am so fortunate to have such wonderful fathers in my life. So Happy Father's Day also to my dad, my grandpa, and my father-in-law. And to all of the other Father's out there. Your children are lucky to have you, no matter how old they are now!
Anthony Update:
Anthony is doing AWESOME this morning! He is acting like his normal happy self. He was up bright and early talking, laughing, smiling, and playing. He laid and played for over an hour until I couldn't stand it anymore and had to pick him up and snuggle him. He went down for a nap at 6:30 (I can't believe it's the crack of dawn and he's been up so long, he's already ready for a nap! How crazy is life with a little baby!)
One doctor came in this morning already to check on him and she was completely impressed by his progress. She kept referencing "going home" which I hope means she's hoping to send us home today. That would really be a Happy Father's Day gift (which is good because with all of this craziness, I didn't get a chance to make daddy's gift with the kids...)
The special disease doctor just came in as well and they confirmed the type of Staph that it was. It was the sensitive type, not the resistant type. Now they're able to give him a more specialized antibiotic that is much easier on him. What a relief. She also said that her recommendation would be for him to go home today, so we're 2 for 2 so far. Now we just need the pediatric doctor who gets to make the call to agree with the other doctors!
Another Update: We're going home! Hooray! We couldn't be more excited to have our family under one roof again! It is so hard being apart!
I can't believe how much more time I have to do whatever, including posting updates and putzing on the computer. There's not much to do in the hospital room, I can't leave and there's NOTHING on TV at the crack of dawn on a Sunday. And now that Anthony's feeling better, he's sleeping like normal and taking long naps, I'm going a little stir crazy! I'll be excited when Jeremy gets here later! He stayed with Anna last night so that he could get a good night's sleep! He doesn't know it yet, but he's my entertainment :-)
