Anthony finally figured out (again) how to sleep at night. He had just started sleeping 9-10 hour stretches before he got sick and then he was so messed up from his hospital stay that it hard for him to sleep more than a 2-3 hour stretch. Last night, he slept from 7:30-3, ate and went back to sleep until his sister barged into his room at 6:30 to wake him up :-). We all felt so much better this morning after a great night's sleep!
Both kids have been in a pretty good mood. Probably because of the great sleep...
We've gotten to play with friends at a park, go on a picnic, run errands, talk walks, etc... The weather has been beautiful (although the temperature will be super high the rest of the week).
We finally got our Adoption Tax Credit back today! Hooray! Just in time to finish paying for Anthony's adoption and to pay off our air conditioner loan! So while the money is pretty much all accounted for and won't stick around long, it at least gives our budget/bank account a chance to catch up!
Both kids are currently still sleeping. And have been since 12:20. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE naptime? And Anthony is now napping (at least for his long afternoon nap) in his crib instead of the swing which means I get the main floor to myself and don't have to tiptoe. So far this week, both kids have taken solid 2.5-3 hour naps each afternoon. Maybe something to do with me keeping them busy :-)
I got to read a book. And finish dishes and put away laundry and sweep the kitchen floor and catch up on blog reading and a few other things that needed done.
And my hubby's new work schedule (7-4) has made our afternoons and evenings so much more fun. We get so much more family time and I don't have to be by myself during "cranky hour" (4-5).
I feel more caught up and way more "together" this week than I've felt really since Anthony was born. He's getting to an easier age, where he'll play more independently (or with a little entertainment from his sister) and he loves to watch me make lunch/do dishes/whatever I'm doing. My newborn is gone, but in his place is a super smiley, fun, happy, adorable little baby!
Anna loves her sunglasses. They're actually too small (they're from last year) but she doesn't care and wears them around all of the time.
On our way to our family picnic at the park! I won't even mention my embarassing moment when I fell off of a swing with Anna in my arms, in a skirt...
My handsome boy, loving his stroller ride!
