I ended up having this week off instead of last. It's been really nice. We've done all kinds of "get out of the house" things and had a lot of fun playing outside in the snow.

I've mentioned that Anna was having some trouble getting to sleep. So we asked her doctor about it at her 2 year check up. I asked if there were any foods or anything that I could give her before bed that would be calming. She suggested bananas because they have tryptophan in them, like turkey. We though, what the heck, it's worth a shot. 4 nights in a row having a banana before bed and she's gone to sleep within 20 minutes. I think a lot of it has to do with her being hungry before bed too, she's always had milk before bed, but I think she needed a snack too. We eat dinner early, so it makes sense! It was taking her an hour to an hour and a half to fall asleep before. Less than 20 minutes? And all we have to do is let her eat a banana (which she LOVES) before bed? Done. It's made a huge difference in her drama level every day, she's getting an hour or more extra sleep now! Amazing!

We've got all of our paperwork and requirements done for the AWC program! Our case worker just has to present us to her supervisor and we're set and waiting! She did say that if something came along before then, that they'd still consider us. She's not worried about her supervisor giving us the go ahead, it's more of a formality. We know her supervisor well and she's now approved us twice. So we're waiting for the right situation to come along! Hopefully we don't wait long, but it's out of our hands!

It's birthday time around here. We kick it off with Anna (Feb 28) and then we had my sister Lisa's (Mar 3) and then Jeremy and his dad (Mar 25) and Anthony (Apr 5), Jeremy's mom (Apr 7), Jeremy's brother Joey (Apr 9), my dad (Apr 28) and Jeremy's brother Jason (May 4). And that's only immediate family. Jeremy's entire family has birthdays in the months of March, April and May. Many have birthdays on the same day (Jer and his dad, Jeremy's mom and her sister, and a few sets of twins).

We have a new Godson! Maximilian Thomas was Baptized this weekend and we couldn't be more excited to have another Godson! Max is absolutely adorable and such a sweet boy.

Anna is terrified of her little curls that shed in the bathtub. Any time we wash/condition her hair, there are some curls that fall off. We decided that they must look like bugs to her. She screams in terror and says "hair, hair". She wants to get out of the tub immediately. It makes for interesting hair washing nights.... Thank goodness they only happen once a week or less!

Anna copies everything I do. She's quite the little Mama to her little brother and her baby doll.
| She's trying to get him to drink his milk out of his cup (the cup was already empty...) But I did it, so she has to do it! |
| Here's she was trying to set him up on his hands and his knees like I do all the time. She was showing him how to crawl. And it won't let me fix the picture orientation... |

E was terrified of hair in the tub too! Like, screaming! Thankfully, she's outgrown it ;)
I love that picture of you with smiley Max
Happy belated Birthday, Anna!! She's so big!
Great about the banana. Maybe I will try that for my insomnia...it can't hurt!
Anna is such a sweet big sister! So cute
Congrats to Max & to you on being Godparents!
Who knew about the banana? I'm going to remember that one! Perhaps that's what Luke needs. He's having a hard time going to sleep & always fusses & fidgets. I'm going to buy some bananas this weekend!
