Anthony's birthday cake experience has opened up a whole new world of eating for him. I don't know that he realized that he could actually pick up the food off of his tray and eat it. Since Saturday, he's been an eating machine and I no longer have to put each and every bite in his mouth. It's revolutionized snacktime at our house.

We got our tax return back in record time this year. With the Adoption Tax Credit last year, we didn't get our return back until July. I guess since the credit is non-refundable this year, they don't care as much... We only got back half of what we got last year, but hey, I'm not complaining.
And every dime of that return is now accounted for. We've had estimates this week for a new roof and a fence in the yard. We also had our furnace poop out on us on Sunday night. Luckily it doesn't look like it needs replaced quite yet (we did our A/C two years ago, they're the same age, so it's only a matter of time...). The guy just cleaned a pipe and it worked again. And he didn't charge us, so even better!
It's 7:30 and we've already listened to the Mickey Mouse soundtrack once. At least it keeps Anna from begging to watch Mickey all day long. She only gets to watch it when I do her hair (and this style has lasted 2 weeks and I'm hoping to get another week out of it). Needless to say, the Mickey songs are perpetually stuck in my head.
Anna's favorite phrase lately is "Oh my gooness". It's hilarious and completely adorable. Apparently I say that a lot. She also tells Anthony "no whining" every time he makes a peep. Apparently my 2 year old whines a lot...
Little brothers put up with a lot. Anthony better get used to the tea party scene. His sister treats him like one of her dolls...
| And yes, those are Minnie ears on her head. She wears them all day, every day. Can we say obsessed? |
This weather's really starting to wear me down. We need to get out. And we need to run around. And go to the park. And just get out.
