I get called a bookworm a lot... I have since I was a little girl. In fact, my mom used to ground my sisters and I from books if we were in trouble or mostly if we were too busy reading to do chores! It used to frustrate my mom to no end. So anyway, I have bought a lot of new books recently, most from gift cards, but I hate to have mountains of anything laying around, books included. I have a lot of children's books, but those are all sorted nicely, in cute cubbies, with lots of purpose. Once I've read an "adult" book, I usually don't read it again. (John Grisham being the exception there) So anyway, I recently donated a bunch to the library and realized that I didn't have an up to date library card.
So I got one! And since I have whizzed through books. My problem is that I read really fast and can read large quantities in no time. So I never have enough to read, especially for weeks like this one when I have a few days off! So I'm always looking for new authors and series to read. I like to read mystery books, sappy books, and basically anything but I struggle because many of them have a lot of promiscuity and immoral behaviors in them. Generally, I like the story, but cringe the minute it becomes sexual! So there are a few authors that I refuse to read for that reason, even though they are good writers and have great storylines!
Lately I have been reading Danielle Steel. Her books (at least the ones I've read so far) seem to have very little, if any of that in it and I like that! So anyway, it's a constant battle because just like all other media (movies, newspapers, tv shows, etc...) books are enjoyable and fun, but too often have excess junk that is unnecessary and offensive!
So if anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them! For right now, I'm enjoying Danielle Steel and searching for other authors that realize that what makes a good read is not how much the characters engage in immoral behaviors!

I love, love, love James Patterson, however, some of his books have a few sexual scenes, so I usually skip over them. My favorite series of his is the woman's murder club. They're the books with numbers for titles. LIke 1st to Die, 2nd Chance, 3rd Degree, 4th of July, those are the only ones I've read so far. Going to the library is actually on my list of things to do this week! :)
