Friday Quick Takes (50)

My baby boy is 1 today!  I can't believe it!  It seems like he was born yesterday.  And yet I can't remember a time without him.  You can read his 12 month update here.  It wasn't our greatest check-up ever, he's behind in some areas, but hopefully we can resolve those soon.

We've had beautiful weather here this week.  It's been nice to spend lots of time outside!

Going for a walk to the park in Anthony's birthday gift, a wagon!  They LOVE it!

 We moved the playhouse outside now that it's getting nice out.  However, we wanted something under it as a "floor" so the kids weren't just playing on the mulch.  Luckily my parents had old concrete stones that used to be in their rock area that's now covered by a deck.  They were just saving them in case someone needed them!  Well, we needed them!  We joked that Jeremy was laying new tiles in Anna's house.  Anna wouldn't go in it before, because the floor was "ucky" (her new favorite word).  Now she loves it and we had to drag her in the house for bedtime last night.  She was not amused!

The completed kids' area in the backyard, complete with picnic table, slide, and sandbox (that I refuse to fill with sand, we just put water in it instead).

Anna insisted that "BroBro" and "GeeGee" sit (pronounced with an h in it when Anna says it, it's a little embarrassing when she tells us to sit in Church).

 We've already been to the park a few times this week with friends.  We've spent 4+ hours at parks just in the last 2 days! And consequently have had some seriously awesome naps because of it!

These two are such sweet friends.  Anna asks at least once a day, "Anne play today?"  Anne was excited when Anna turned two because now they're the same!  Hopefully Anne's not disappointed when she turns 3 in a month!  They play so well together and they have to give each other a hug whenever it's time to go.  Today at the park, Anna saw Anne coming and said "Yay, I found you!"  I'm just sad they won't be in the same grade in school!

 Anthony's got some eye teeth coming in.  He's pretty much spent his days strapped to my back, his mouth must hurt because he's never whiny like he was this week!  But he's happy as can be hanging out on my back!

A friend gave me an Amish Friendship bread starter.  My mom used to make it all the time and we just love it!  Well, today's baking day and it's in the oven.  It smells absolutely amazing and I can't wait to have a warm piece of bread with the kids when they wake up!
