Anna-isms

Anna's at a fun talking age.  She constantly cracks us up with the things she says.  Here are some of my favorites, mostly ones she's used today because I can't think beyond what happened today!

Elevator/Escalator = "Annagators"

Polkadots = "Poke the dots"

Helicopter = "Air tractor"

Floats and Funnies (The program our library had this evening, root beer floats and cartoons) = "Floats and Honeys"

This = "oaf"

Anna: Mommy, go oaf way!
Me:  Anna, say "this", "go this way".
Anna:  This, go oaf way!

(Going through the drive-thru pharmacy to refill Anthony's eczema creams, the lady handed us a brown paper bag with the creams in them)
Me:  Thanks!
Anna: Anna wants a bite of burger too!
Pharmacist: Did she just ask for a burger?  That's one I haven't heard before!

And one for Anthony:
(Anthony's obsessed with cars, and all things with wheels, this is a conversation that happens many times a day)
Anthony pointing: Car!!
Me: Anthony, that's a truck, say "truck"
Anthony:  No!  Car!!
Me: Truck
Anthony: No! Car!!
Me:  Alright, you win, I'm not going to argue with a one year old!
