I've mentioned before about my horrible gardening skills.
This year is proving to be no different, despite my determination and adjustments.
I planted 1 eggplant, 1 green pepper plant, 1 cucumber plant and 3 lettuce plants, some Oregano, Basil and Parsley.
And right now I'm left with an eggplant plant that has flowers, but no eggplants... A green pepper plant that has two teensie weensie little buds that just may produce something. And some herbs. My oregano's doing great (it must be idiot proof) and my basil and parsley are doing ok. The lettuce and cucumber plants died from who knows what, probably terrible care.
So there's still hope that I may have some green peppers! And if my eggplant ever decides to grow something other than flowers, I'll be really thrilled. It looks nice and big and healthy. Minus the fact that it hasn't done what it's supposed to do...
And my flowers are still alive. That's a record. I give credit to the rain barrel we have, I actually have remembered to water them. I don't have to go back in the bug infested corner of the monster bush to turn on the hose anymore.
It's a good thing I have other talents, because I'm confirming that gardening will likely never be one of them...

Ha ha!
I am so bad at gardening that I don't even enjoy it. Andrew does all the gardening here and thus I don't feel guilty when all the plants die (because it looks like that is happening again this year).
Gardening is a learning experience, even for those who have been doing it for years. Keep trying and you'll figure it out.
I've nominated you for a Liebster Award. Visit my blog for details. http://worldofweeks.com/
