Quick Takes (61)

--- 1 ---
We've done lots of celebrating this week.  Anna's Adoption Day on Thursday, my birthday yesterday, and my brother-in-law's birthday tomorrow.  I have to say, this was one of my best birthdays ever.

--- 2 ---
For one, I got to sleep in two days in a row.  Until 8:00.  That's absolutely amazing.  Jeremy made sure to take the kids downstairs as soon as they woke up so that they wouldn't bother me and it was a solid 9+ hours of uninterrupted sleep.  I felt amazing.  Jeremy also cleaned the whole house for me and took poopy diaper duty for the day.

When I did wake up, I woke up to this:

We went to my favorite breakfast spot, Panera.  And we did a little shopping.  Then we came home, took nice naps and got ready for our party.  Friends of ours moved away 6 months ago and they were back for work/visit.  We hosted a cookout and it was a perfect evening for it.

Baking cookies for the party

Eating our bagels

Anna only eats the cream cheese

Cookout with great friends!  This was the only picture I took.  At least it's a cute one of some of the kids!

Perfect evening for a fire and s'mores

The annual birthday cookie cake.  No flops this year!

We've also spent a lot of time at the pumpkin farm lately.  The kids just love it and the weather's finally cooperating!

Cousin playing together!

Kiddie Corn Maze

Testing out the jumping pillow

Riding the caterpillar ride.  Anthony absolutely LOVES this.  He's obsessed with anything that has wheels.

Checking out the piggies.  He kept saying "Peeee UUUU!"

Such a ham!

Anna: "It's a big one pumpkin!"

We had part one of the great fall clean up at our house.  In preparation for our party, we cut down some low branches (for a safe fire) and raked up some of the leaves.  Anna had a blast helping.

--- 7 ---
Football has started back up.  Meaning my kids are now sporting their Bears gear every Sunday as soon as Mass is over.  They're mighty cute Bears fans!  And Anthony is a HUGE football fan.  He refused to take a nap during the game, instead he stood in his crib saying, "Football!  Touchdown!"
