Anthony - 4 Months Old

Our sweet little guy is 4 months old!  And just getting cuter and cuter every day!

We had his 4 month check-up today.  Here are his stats and a little update:

He's 13lbs.  8 oz. which is 30th percentile.
He's 24 3/4in. which is 30th percentile.
So all around, he's on the small side, but proportionate.  His head was 41st percentile.

He was overall very healthy.  The only "issue" is that we're being referred to yet another pediatric specialist.  An opthimologist.  I've noticed that Anthony has one eye that doesn't always follow thing and it doesn't usually follow the other.  Being his mom, I didn't know if I was over scrutinizing it or if it was a concern.  Well, in pictures lately, it's been really obvious and others have mentioned it.  Our doctor said to catch it this young is great and that hopefully we can correct it and prevent any vision loss.  And of course, there are no pediatric opthimologists where we live, so we will be traveling to another city, an hour away for a specialist...  Oh boy, you really keep us on our toes Anthony!  And our gas tank empty...
In the last month, he has perfected rolling over and now insist on sleeping on his belly.  The only problem is that any kind of friction on his face causes his eczema to flare up.  So he wakes up each morning with clown cheeks and we have to heavily lotion them all morning to get them back to normal.

He also is sitting really well with some support.  He can't quite do it without support, but it won't be too long!

He is super smiley and a very happy guy pretty much all the time.  He loves to be talked to and he LOVES to watch Anna do just about anything.  He just melts when she gives him kisses and she can make him laugh faster than anyone else.  He loves to snuggle with blankets or burp rags.

We're just enjoying his smiles and giggles.  He's such a happy baby and just so laid back.  He loves to be held but he also loves to play on the floor.  His favorite thing is the ceiling fan.  It could entertain him for hours.  It's quite comical.

His sleeping has been great.  He's going to bed around 7pm and usually gets up around 5:30 for a quick bottle.  Then he goes right back to sleep and we have to wake him up to take Jeremy to work around 7.  He takes a 30-45 minute morning nap and a 3-4 hour afternoon nap.  He's pretty much dropped his evening nap this week, but there's not that long between his afternoon nap and bedtime anymore!

I just can't believe how fast he's growing and what a happy little guy he is!  He's such an easy baby and we just enjoy him so very much!
