Surprises, Adoption, Fun Toddler

I knew at some point, I'd get behind.  This weekend was crazy.  Anthony took his turn with the stomach flu and so did Jeremy.  Anthony's still recovering, although he's no longer sick.  He's just not back to 100% yet.  But in all that, there's plenty to be thankful for!

Day 10:

I'm thankful for surprise pictures on my camera when I upload them.  Apparently these were taken when I was sick in bed with the stomach flu.  Such sweet siblings!

Somehow Anna got ahold of 3 GeeGees.  She was nice enough to share one with Anthony!

Day 11:

I'm so thankful for opportunities to celebrate adoption.  Our agency always holds a National Adoption Day (Nov. 17) potluck (not always on the 17th...).  We have gone two years in a row now and had a blast.  It's so wonderful to connect with other adoptive families and especially to connect with people we don't see very often!  Like the family that took care of Anna in interim care before we even knew about her!  Their daughter, Katie (or Tatie as Anna calls her) is in junior high now and Anna just loves her.  Katie would make a fantastic little baby-sitter (not that we have a lack of those, we have such wonderful families in town).  Too bad they live an hour away!

Anna kep telling Katie all about that white thing on the wall!  Anna always has a lot to say!
Trying to convince Katie to let her see what's behind door #1.

Anna loved Katie's phone.  She had it on the video feature so Anna could see herself and Anna was quite the ham for the camera.  She even learned how to start and stop the video.  Jim and Darcy (Katie's parents) said that Katie loves to have videos of the babies they took care of, she keeps pictures of each baby and Anna is one of the only ones they've gotten to see after they left their home!
Anthony and our caseworker.

Day 12:  I'm thankful for this girl and all of the crazy things that she does to keep our lives interesting.

Hiding in daddy's desk

Daddy could not resist these little Minnie and Mickey mouses at the store.  We plan on putting them in their stockings.  However, Anna found them in the cart and decided they deserved a prime seat in the cart.  The cupholders of course.  We have such fun at the grocery store!

She pulled this cooler in the living room and decided it would make a good horse...

Your kids are ADORABLE!! Anna's smile is infectious! I'm glad you are over the stomach flu. This year it seems nastier than ever!
How SWEET about Katie taking videos & pictures of the kids who's she was a part of. I'm glad you could reconnect with them, especially as it you are the only ones who have. I love it!!!
