National Adoption Day

Today I am thankful for birthmoms.  Specifically for R and Jenna.  I am thankful for them choosing life for our children.  And for choosing us to be Anna and Anthony's parents.

I hope that one day I can tell Anna's birthmom thank you.

And I am thankful that I have the opportunity to tell Anthony's birthmom thank you often.  We saw her today and it's obvious how much she loves him and Anna.  She can't wait to get both kids some Christmas gifts.  And she was thrilled with the handprint turkeys I made her with the kids' handprints.  She prints every picture I put on CD for her and puts it in a book.  She tells everyone she knows that a wonderful couple adopted her child.  I'm thankful for all of that.

So Happy National Adoption Day!  And say a prayer for all birthmoms out there and the beautiful sacrifice that they make for their children.
