Saturday Randoms

- My kids make terrible funeral attendees.  Between Anthony blowing raspberries, making pow wow noises and saying "HI!" loudly and Anna singing EIEIO and saying "diamond" repeatedly (the funeral home had lots of diamond shaped windows, we didn't even know she could identify that shape...) I didn't really hear a word that was said.  But we all had a good laugh...

- Saturday night at 9:00 when the hubby and kids are already in bed is my new favorite time to grocery shop.  I was in and out, had no extras snuck into my cart and there was basically no one there.

- Anna got up this morning and excitedly announced that there were "Mokeys" in our backyard (monkeys).  She was so excited about the monkeys in the snow that I didn't have the heart to tell her that they were just squirrels...  We spent all morning excited about the snow monkeys.

- Every time I use the bathroom, Anna proudly proclaims "Yay Mama!"  At home, in public, it doesn't matter.

- My husband is incredibly anal about the snow removal situation on our driveway.  Tire tracks (or footprints) are a HUGE no-no.  He didn't have time to shovel this morning after the dusting of snow we got last night, so before we could pull out of our garage, he made two shovel tracks for us to drive through.  And he promptly shoveled as soon as we got home.  He makes me smile :-)

- There were a lot of funny stories shared about my great-grandma today.  But I think the top three have to be: 1) her "accidentally" knocking over the checkers board anytime she was losing, 2) her giving a lady an enima on a bus trip, and 3) her "surprise" 98th birthday party that she actually knew about but couldn't remember, she was pretty excited that we threw her a surprise party :-).

- My cousin's daughter (Evie, who just turned 2) became very excited when Anna walked in today.  She yelled "Minnie!"  Anna was wearing her pink polkadot skirt and black shirt with her dark skin and really did look Minnie Mouse-ish.  It was pretty cute and an incredibly high compliment for my Minnie-obsessed daughter.

Yes, kids at funerals ... at my Grandma's, Luke was misbehaving, so we had to take him out, down the hallway, in another room, etc and you could STILL hear him wail! Oh my! But for the most part, yes, they do keep smiles happening among the tears.
LOL at "Yay Mama" with the Bathroom!!! Oh dear! :-D
