It is really nice to have a week off once in a while. I'm obviously not glad about the reason for the week off (baby N had to have surgery). But it's nice to enjoy a week with just my kids nonetheless. Just one less kiddo and I all of the sudden have so much extra time. We have done so much today and while I haven't sat down yet, I don't feel like I need to!
I actually got my exercising in today. Anna enjoyed doing that with me.
We went for a nice walk. It's not super cold out today (40 degrees) and since I didn't have to take a stroller (1 less baby...), we could walk around even with some snow on the sidewalk. We walked for almost an hour, venturing to the lake which had lots of geese on it to watch!
Anthony enjoyed his ride
She's so excited to be outside, she couldn't help but run!
She has to stop and talk about every light pole.
Watching for duckies and planes (we live right by the runways of an airport)
So excited to be outside!
Then we had some lunch and I even got lunch cleaned up right after lunch, I normally don't have time for that!
We had fun dancing to some Mickey Mouse tunes.
We read a few books.
And then the kids went down for naps. They went down in a record time! Right after I posted about Anna having trouble sleeping, she's had a few good nights/naps in a row. She hasn't gotten out of her bed in like two days. I hate even writing that, cause I'm sure she'll change it up soon...
And with all that fresh air in their systems, they're still asleep 2 hours later.
I got dinner prepped in the crockpot (Tortellini soup, modified for what we had on hand, and lots of extra veggies and veggie broth added for my picky veggie eater, Anna). I even got estra veggies chopped and frozen for some vegetable soup next week!
I have lots of energy and I'm not dragging. It's 2:00, that's completely rare.
So needless to say, I'm enjoying my time off. I really don't mind working so much (although, the child I watch is incredibly challenging, having a child scream all day does a number on my energy and patience levels). It really makes me appreciate time with just my kids. I make the most of it when I'm down to just 2! And I'm really enjoying celebrating my almost 2 year old! I can hardly believe it!
